Mans1 is the creative mind behind the jingles of Radio Bistoquette. With his ear for rhythm, wordplay, and recognition, he shapes the station's signature sound in those brief, unmistakable moments between tracks — with a lightness and humor that stand out instantly and simply bring joy.
Mans1 has been rooted in hip-hop culture since 1994 — born in the early 1980s, he began spraying his name on walls while still a teenager. This evolved into a multi-decade, versatile artistic career: he embodies hip-hop not just as a musician, but lives and teaches the entire spectrum of the culture.
As a graffiti artist, b-boy, MC, and hip-hop activist, Mans1 draws inspiration from Oriental calligraphy, Ethiopian art, and the philosophy of hip-hop. A fine arts graduate, he teaches visual arts, graffiti, and spoken word to children and youth — leading courses, workshops, and lectures across Switzerland, France, and even Madagascar.
In 2011 and again in 2015, he became the Swiss Champion at the renowned End of the Weak battle competition. His talent for poetic improvisation regularly brings him to the stage — in improvised theater as well as hosting public events.
In 2011, he released the audiobook Rapstory, alongside several music projects: the album Mexedants with Alchirimists (2001), the Swiss-Malagasy collaboration Message with Street Soul (2009), L'Esprit de la Marge (2014), and Hip-Hop Taoists with beatmaker Home Taping (2019). In 2025, he completed the third part of his trilogy, 1994 – Le Sarcophage — his secret masterpiece, now fully revealed to the world.
It is precisely this mix of skill, wit, and culture that you hear every time a Radio Bistoquette jingle flashes between two tracks — signed by MC Mans1.
